Tonya Kinzer Faces Questions with Christie

Questions with Christie

We would like to give a big Delinquent Cheerleader welcome to erotica author Tonya Kinzer. Christie is going to firing off some questions on everything from her writing, to personal preferences for Halloween for Tonya to answer. Over to you Christie.

Christie:  To get everyone started, describe yourself in three sentences.

Tonya:  First, thank you for having me here and thank you to the readers stopping by. I’m doing a contest so do get in below. I’m a strong, positive woman who loves helping others empower themselves. By thinking positive, envisioning what we want for our future, I know we can make it happen. I hang around positive individuals who keep my energy flowing with new ideas and solutions.

Christie: Which one of your characters do you think is most like you?

Tonya:  I would have to go with Sondra Prentice from The Boss’s Pet series. She works well with her boss at the office, she’s a Financial Advisor, and eventually, she gets what she wants! Check my bio…

Christie: Which one of your characters would you most like to be?

Tonya:  I’d most like to be Cassandra, my heroine in Come Tame Me….She’s a great shot, she inherits a ton of money and gets the prize in the end of the story!

Christie:  What is your most memorable college or early twenties experience?

Tonya:  That would have to be the birth of my children. I married at 18 and had them before I was 23…they’ve become wonderful mothers themselves.

Christie: Are you a sideline watching or a track player? Are you that way by choice? Is there are reason why?

Tonya:  I’m shy and work best behind the scenes but also love making things happen and watch how many follow. Does that make me a track player? I don’t think they’re shy though. I don’t like talking in front of people and I doubt I’ll ever be able to do a video blog where readers can see me while they listen. Crazy, huh?

Christie:  What is one thing you haven’t done yet in your life that you intend to do?

Tonya:  Take an Alaskan cruise and visit the Caribbean with my husband. We love to travel and it gives me more topics for story lines and settings.

Christie:  What have you done that you never expected to do? Give us the details of how it happened.

Tonya:  I truly never expected to self-publish my books. That happened because my husband kept telling me I should just do it. I received many rejection letters, but we all have. After doing repeated edits, I finished my books, taught myself how to format for the book sites, taught myself how to do covers using PhotoShop (but there is still so much more I could be doing with it that I don’t know yet) and am still learning more about SEO and algorithms for marketing. Now I have to learn to give up control and quit trying to do it all myself. I have hired an assistant, at least, that’s a start. Gina keeps trying to help me give up a little at a time so I can write more. Let’s hope she succeeds! LOL She’s available to help other authors too….contact her at Author’s Back Office on FB.

Christie:  Where is the favorite place you have ever lived?

Tonya:  I’m originally from mid-Michigan and now live in the Pacific Northwest. I love it out here…there are NO mosquitos where I live now and no humidity. Those of you from back east know what I’m talking about when I say Michigan mosquitos will carry you away they’re so big!

Christie:  Where in the world would you like to live?

Tonya:  That’s a hard question. Hubby and I are actually trying to figure out where we want to retire to. We have a few years yet and traveling will help us decide, I hope. Florida is too humid for me, Hawaii is too humid, Palm Springs is too hot for too long! We’d love a log home but not where it’ll snow six months of the year!

Christie:  What are you writing at the moment? What is going to make it exciting to read?

Tonya:  I’m working on a new series of f/f romance, Through His Lens, about a photographer who loves his models. I believe the world needs to accept LGBT and let them be happy. Why does the straight community think they can dictate to everyone about who and how they love? I hope that comes through in my stories. I’m debating on whether to include a touch of FemDom…okay, I’m leaning way toward that direction! LOL My readers are also waiting on more books in my other two series, The Boss’s Pet (Dom/sub/BDSM romance) and Wild Fillies (western romance).

Christie:  What has been the most exciting story you have ever written?

Tonya:  That would have to be the ongoing story line in The Boss’s Pet series. The romance between a boss and his employee grows and shows her learning more with each book that strengthens the romance between the two.

Christie:  Where can we get hold of your stories? Do you have a favorite vendor?

Tonya:  My books are at all online stores but of course, Amazon is the largest with the most sales for me. I’m also in the process of getting my books onto the Excessica.com website run by Selena Kitt.

Christie:  What have you written that received a surprise reaction from your readers?

Tonya:  A few readers were surprised at the f/f scene my characters had me include in Come Tame Me. What surprises me is the reaction I get from many readers that The Boss’s Pet series contains bondage. That fact is clearly in the blurb on all buy sites that they read before downloading…or should. Who downloads a book without reading what it’s about?

Christie:  Halloween is looming large on the horizon. Out of all the Halloween costumes you have ever worn, what has been your favorite?

Tonya:  LOL  That would be my witch outfit! I have a black pointy hat with a wide brim and a black dress with a cape. I blacken one or two teeth and curl my hair wild. Yes, I’ve scared a few children and had to give the candy to their parents…sorry! I love Halloween and I love being scared.

Christie:  What has been the most unusual Halloween costume you have ever seen?

Tonya:  There are so many! Maybe being a princess on Halloween? They don’t go together.

Christie: How do you feel about sexy versions of otherwise normal Halloween costumes? All for them or dead against them?

Tonya:  Love them….Elvira is my favorite! Now that’s one sexy witch outfit!  Hhmmm….I could alter mine just a bit!

Christie: Now for Christie’s final question. What is one secret you have never told anyone? You can change names to protect the innocent but we want a dirty little secret.

Tonya:  This question stumped me. Perhaps it may be about friends I know who are into Dom/sub/BDSM yet others would never guess that. On the other hand, there are a number of others who say they would never try that. They secretly fantasize about doing all those nasty things…which is why they read our stories…they make fantasy come true in the dark corners of their mind where they can play and do what they want. I love it!
